Togatta Onsen has a history of over 400 years and is surrounded by the majestic nature of Zao range.
It has long been popular among hot spring visitors as a "bath that is good for the legs and hips," and is also popular among young people as a "bath that is good for the skin" and "warms the body."
The hot spring boasts a rich flow rate of 1,000 liters per minute, and its beneficial effects permeate the entire body.
At this facility, you can enjoy hot spring water straight from the source in three baths: a cypress bath, a granite bath, and a rock bath.

The legend of Togatta Onsen"Crab and Eel Battle at Sankai Falls"
- Long ago, on the way up Mount Zao from Togatta Onsen Onsen, there lived a "giant crab" at the small Sankai Falls and a "giant eel" at the large Fudo Falls.
One day, the Giant Crab grew so big that its home became too small and it became dissatisfied. So it challenged the Giant Eel to a duel to claim the waterfall where he lived.
"I won't let the Giant Crab defeat me, this is my waterfall."
Feeling a little uneasy, the "big eel" disguised himself as a beautiful girl and went to ask the hunters of Togatta for help.
『Can you shoot the crab with this golden ball?』
The hunter readily agreed.
On the day of the duel, the "Giant Eel" arrived at Sankai Falls a little early, but was cut into three pieces by the "Giant Crab"'s claws and lost the fight.
The severed head flew to Aone, the body to Gagan, and the tail to Togatta Village.
By the time the hunter arrived at Sankai Falls, he saw a giant crab waiting in the crimson-colored river.
The hunter aimed his gun at the "giant crab" and shot it, causing the pool at the waterfall to turn red with blood, and the "giant crab" has never been seen since.
